Friday, August 26th

With so much to do and so little time, this was another day spent trip-planning……

Trying to tie-up all the loose ends for Croatia & Slovenia…..and finding we didn’t have a firm room reservation in Samobor and needed a parking reservation in Mostar.

Completing the itinerary and booking hotels for a trip to Spain in October/November (and, of course, requesting a reservation for Felix at Chateau Miaou).

Planning mini-trips for visitors who will be joining us here in the cottage for a few days in September.

Researching a short-break to Basque country with friends visiting in October.

With little time for cooking and a refrigerator full of perishables, tonight’s dinner was  Montagnard French Toast…..bearing no resemblence to the sweet, breakfasty, American-style French Toast…..this is a recently-found recipe that met all my requirements for tonight’s dinner: easy to fix, empties the larder and, most importantly, is absolutely delicious (Montagnard French Toast).

After dinner, it was back to the computer to check email……we have a room in Samobor, a parking space in Mostar and a reservation for Felix!  Life is good.

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” ~  Mark Twain

  1. My apologies for the miscellaneous typos and misspellings….I correct them as I find them but some sneak out anyway.
