We awoke to the news that Osama Bin Laden was dead.

Ten long years and thousands of lives later, the United States has exacted its revenge.

World leaders all agreed that the world is now a safer place.  I hope and pray that they’re right and that this doesn’t presage another decade of terrorism and fear…..more wars…..more deaths.

“The ultimate weakness of violence is that it is a descending spiral begetting the very thing it seeks to destroy.  Instead of diminishing evil, it multiplies it.  You may murder the liar, but you cannot murder the lie, nor establish the truth.  You may murder the hater, but you do not murder hate, nor establish love.  Returning violence for violence multiplies violence, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars.  Darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that.  Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.”……….Martin Luther King, Jr.

Excellent quote to add to your post Mrs. Vanderkamp. I am happy to call you my friend.

I see this famous quote by my hero in Facebook and other internet sites after the grand announcement by Mr. Obama gloating that Americans have murdered Osama.
There is something not right about this Osama episode. Is he really dead OR another BIG lie? How can murdering someone be cause for Celebrations? Why throw the body to the sharks? Can his children or relatives now go around and take revenge on the killers and the people who are applauding this cold blooded murder? What is the difference between him and the US? Didn’t Americans hate the sight of Arabs celebrating the twin tower bombing and burning the US flag? I don’t think the world can rest easy just because Osama is dead.
