Friday, November 26th

It was cold outside today…..very cold…..all the hardy souls we spied walking along the canal were bundled up in their winter coats.  It was a perfect day to stay inside and catch up on the blog.

With a warm cup of tea and heat radiating from the fireplace, I finally finished writing up the days I’d missed.  Time to take a walk down to the mailbox to see if our appointment with the OFII had arrived… hadn’t.

With temperatures in the low 30’s, the walk back to the cottage went by quickly, very quickly.….. the rising smoke from the chimney calling me, encouraging me, coaxing me.

Huff, huff, huff…..puff, puff, puff…. up the stairs, through the doorway and then……. ahhhh…..warmth.

With the fireplace glowing and the sun setting, we turned on the telly and settled in to finish our Harry Potter marathon.

Galopant Gargouilles…..Galloping Gargoyles!
