Wednesday, October 27th

Yes, Wednesday.  We left San Francisco on Monday afternoon and arrived here on Tuesday night, so today is Wednesday.

Due to extreme jet lag, Craig and I didn’t do much today….we shopped for a space heater (it became apparent last night that the fireplace wouldn’t heat the whole house), cat food (we left Felix’s bag at Chateau Miaou) and groceries to fill our empty larder.….so today I’ll share my thoughts on the Yin and Yang of our month in California……

Highways are crowded and in disrepair…..

Cars are too big…..

Restaurants are extremely noisy…..

Supermarkets have an overabundance of food…..

Healthcare is expensive and complicated…..

You’re not greeted when you enter a business…..

But…….

There’s Mexican food…..

You can easily find anything and everything you need to buy…..

“Big Bang Theory” on television….

Streets are wide…..

English is spoken…..

Mixed drinks!

C’est la vie…..that’s life.

Well shoot – you came and went and we didn’t get to see each other. Where did the time go? I’m sorry 😦 – Just so you know, Big Bang Theory is my FAVORITE show.
Things here are going full tilt. The office goes a bit nuts about Halloween and with all the people I support I have been averaging about two parties a day. Today it’s three and tomorrow another. I don’t even like Halloween! Glad you are back to France safe and sound. I have missed your daily updates! Susi
