Saturday, September 25th

Our one-bedroom hotel suite has the most comfortable bed and pillows ever so sleep came quickly and soundly.  We woke early in anticipation of meeting River Christian, our 2 ½ month old grandson.  Our son called to make sure we were coming and we were off!

Forty-five very long minutes later and little River was resting in my arms.  The joy of holding this precious bundle is indescribable.  He’s the most beautiful baby in the world.  I know, I know…..all grandma’s think that…..but, in this case, it’s true.

River is absolutely angelic.  His perfect little face is framed by baby-fine reddish brown hair.  He has long eyelashes and the most beautiful blue eyes since Frank Sinatra.  His very sweet, mellow disposition is obvious and he’s rarely unhappy.  He’s learning how his little body works and his arms and legs are always in motion.  Craig and I took turns holding him and letting him get to know us.  His quick smile lit up his face and melted our hearts.  We’re looking forward to spending a lot of time with this charming petit garçon.
