Monday, September 6th

Time to bid “adieu” to my trusted companion.  It has served me well these past six weeks, but our time together is now over.  We returned the wheelchair to the pharmacie today.  Future excursions will be determined by the steepness of the terrain and the proximity of the parking.

Later on, as clouds gathered overhead preparing for an evening storm, we were delighted to receive video calls from our friends and family in California.  It was wonderful to hear their voices and see their faces again….we would have liked the comaraderie to continue all night but the skies had a different agenda.  Thunder and lightning determined that it was lights off and an early bedtime for us.

Felix, braver than usual, watched Mother Nature’s light show from the comfort of the bedroom window but soon crawled into bed with us to await the morning sun.

The sun’ll come out tomorrow….Le soleil sortira demain

(with due respect to “Annie”)
