Thursday, August 12th

Our wood was delivered this morning.  It’s neatly stacked in the garage patiently waiting for the coming cold weather.  As we ponder the cold, damp days ahead of us, we determine that we’ll need to journey south this winter…..Greece, Egypt, Turkey?  Time to start dreaming and planning.

Therapy tonight was with Sébastien….who had good news and bad news…..my ankle is more flexible than it was last week, but I have only four more therapy sessions.

We adjourned outdoors for an apperitif before dinner and were enjoying the quiet and calm of early evening when a young woman with two small daughters came over the bridge.  She had just single-handedly docked a boat across the canal and seemed a bit preoccupied as she approached us.  She came to warn us that they had seen a naked man, wearing only a face mask, walking near the canal and had reported this to the police.  Shortly afterward, the Gendarmes arrived and began scouting the area on the other side of the canal.  After what we hoped was a thorough search, the Gendarmes left empty-handed.  No open windows for us tonight.

Jusqu’à demain….Until tomorrow
