Tuesday, August 3rd

Felix was sitting on his tower this morning staring very intently at the window ledge.  I thought perhaps a baby lizard had made it’s way up the side of the cottage so I was quite surprised to see something staring back at me….it was Little Brother lizard!   With his head arched high, he was looking into the living room!  Felix was fascinated….but cautious.  As he slowly inched down his tower for a better look at this strange creature, Little Brother crept closer and closer to the edge and then scurried quickly out of sight.

Today’s kinesiotherapy appointment was with Angelique, just back from her vacanes (vacation).   She, too, is a very attractive woman (is anyone in France not attactive?)….brunette, tanned, mid-30’s with an effervescent personality that brings joy into the room as she enters.

This time, we adjourned to Salle de Soins (Treatment Room) #2.  This room is done in soft yellows and blues…less feminine but very Provençal.   The first thing Angelique did was examine my incision and pronounce it “perfect!”  Dr Afriat will be pleased to hear this.

The difference between Sébastien and Angelique was readily apparent.  Sébastien, just finished with his schooling, is more tentative in his manipulations; Angelique, with her experience and confidence, went right to work.  I know I’m going to need a pain pill tonight.

Dinner was simple but very good…..chicken sautéed in butter, white wine and thyme from the garden, fresh carrots with butter and, for dessert, more Choco-Poire Tarte. Oh-la-la,

All in all, a very good day.
